ELO and Ranks

2B2Tiers ranks are based on confirmed PvP events seen by the tracker bot in render distance.

How ELO Works

Every tracked player starts at 600 ELO. Confirmed competitive kills can add ELO, while deaths and combat suicides can remove ELO.

Killing a higher-rated or better-geared player is worth more than killing someone below your rating or worse geared than you.

Large rating gaps matter more heavily: high-ranked players can receive very little ELO for repeatedly killing much lower-rated players.

Weapon type matters. Sword and bow kills are generally worth more than crystal, anchor, or mace kills because crystal PvP is the normal 2b2t meta and melee/ranged finishes are harder to land cleanly.

Active killstreaks add a small ELO bonus per kill. The bonus caps after a few kills, and resets once the player dies, so streaks matter without creating runaway rating gains.

Repeatedly killing the same player is heavily reduced by anti-farm protection, so farming alts or one target does not keep boosting rating.

Existing valid kills were backfilled as fair even-geared crystal fights to kickstart the ranking system.

No ELO is awarded for possible bots, low-confidence events, out-of-render events, or kills against players the tracker cannot classify as meaningful PvP targets.

Hover a kill in the activity feed to see whether ELO was applied and the high-level reason.
